transit visa issue at Frankfurt airport, Germany

Dear all,

I am confused as to whether I need a transit visa while I will be traveling back to China next month via Frankfurt airport, some threads say the transit visa is necessary, while others say NO.

I ordered a round trip ticket from Beijing, China. The journey is like: Beijing--europe ( I had a valid visa in Germany, now it is not valid any more)--USA ( I used AP entering Newark airport). Next month I am gonna back to Beijing via Frankfurt. I still have valid AP at hand.

Will someone please clarify it ?

You need it if you're using AP
