Hi Experts, I stay in California and my employer is in IL. When my lawyer filled my I-485 case in May 2005, they filled it in Nebraska Center.

What happens now, Does the case gets transfer to California automatically or we have to request the NCS to transfer it to California. And it will be useful in speedy approval since CA is procssing applications recieved in March 2005 where as NSC processing application recieved in Aug 2003.

And why did my lawyer filled the case in NSC and not in California office. was it a mistak on his part?, if YES what can be done?

------------- you have to request. but why you need to get it transfer California? it will delay the processing.

-- you can ask the lawyer
was it a mistak on his part?, if YES what can be done?
-- I dont think it was mistake. I think your I-140 was also filed with NSC if that is true then lawyer is correct

Thank you sir for the reponse, Was just getting greedy since CA is processing Apr 2005 and Nebraska Aug 2003.

I think I should just wait and don't freak out just like that.
