Transfering to WashingtonDC

I just checked my 485 Status and found out from the Vermont automated phone system that my case has been tranferred to washington DC local INS office on 12/17/01 for an interview. They left a phone number(202-307-1501) for me to contact with, But when I dialed this number, I found out the number was not in service any more.

My question is, what might be the reason for my case getting transferred other than being approved? How long will I wait before I can be scheduled for an interview?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Interview

I am in the same boat but for Philly local INS office, this process is very slow , for almost all local offices. I am waiting for some response for last 4 months.
