Transfered H1B stamping in US

hi
i have a multiple stamped H1B for company X. Im planning to get my H1 transfered to company Y. Can i get my passport stamped for the transfered H1 while being here in the US itself?if yes where do i have to send my passport and with what all papers?thanks.

Yes, you can get a new visa stamp. You need to get a new stamp only if your current stamp is within 60 days of expiration. The old stamp continues to be valid until expiration regardless of change in employer.

Thanks, so my old multiple visa will work for re-entry in the US??
Also i plan to bring my wife on H4.Thus i assume itll be better for me to get the new H1 stamped here in US before returning to get my wife(correct me if im wrong).My new company(Y) is small in size(say 10 people) and thus i was sceptical about what all papers are required to get my new H1 here in the US

For your wife's H4, you will need the original of your H1 approval, marriage certificate and all other documents that you normally would need if you were applying for a H1.
Again, you do not need a new visa stamp reflecting your new employer if your current H1 visa is valid. It is not necessary to get a new H1 visa as a pre-requisite for your wife's H4.
The size of your company is not important.
