Transfer to new location, same company

Hi friends,

I applied for my I-485 in December, 2002 (It is more than 180 days). My company is asking me to relocate from Massachusettes to California. I will be doing the same work at the same company. However, my salary was increased to adjust for cost of living.

Do you see any problems with the move? I talked to my lawyers. As per them, I have to apply for change of address and change of location. It may cause some delays because the case may get transferred from VSC to CSC.

Am I better of finding a similar job in the same location (MA) than going to the new location (CA) with the same company?

Can you please let me know your experiences and thoughts.

Thanks,
Satya1

---------- Read the recent BCIS Memo, if you think you can find similar job in MA and are eligible to use AC21 and have EAD or can join new employer with H1 transfer that you have to decide and you have also to think about job security
