Transfer to INS Boston

I received a notice from VSC stating my case is transfered to local INS boston center. I called National customer service center at 1-800-375-5283 today and the representative tells me that it could take _further_ 24 months. Is this a stock answer or really it is going to take 24 months more?

Please share your experience with INS boston center transfers? When transfered? when you receive interview letter etc.,

MY friend\'s case was also transferred to BOSTON INS. Within a couple of weeks he got a letter from BOSTON INS intimating about his interview which was to be held six months later (NOV.01). Hope this helps.

Did you get an RFE on ur case or was it a direct transfer. Do you live in Boston.

There is no RFE. It\'s a direct transfer. I spoke to my attorney and he also says it might take around 6 months in boston....
