Transfer to Hartford

Our case has been transfered to HARTFORD on 08/11/2004, My I-485 RD is 07/05/02. Looking at the Hartford processing times they are processing cases with Receipt date of June 2003, so does this mean we can expect our interview in the next couple of months.

Any thoughts ?

Unfortunately when you are transferred your 485 RD is no longer valid, your Transfer date becomes your new RD I have been waiting 9 months so far, it is taking somewhere around 12-14 months to process at Hartford.

You should initiate an inquiry.
My attorney told me when my case wa stransfered recently that they will initiate an inquiry if they do not schedule an interview within 6 months. Some attorneys do it in 3 months.

your RD is one month earlier than mine and you are still waiting from OCT 2003, at Hartford at this rate then ours should be mid next year then ?.

probably will be unless they pull out some magic wand and start processing things a little faster
you also better remember that Hartford no longer processes EAD 765 you mail it to them and they forward it onto the national benefit center MSC and it is taking about 4 months there so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to renew any EAD's

I am now approaching 95 days which is over the 30 - 90 they estimated.

that's quite depressing to hear the longer time it is taking for your case, i might be in the same case too because my transferred date from vsc is june 15, 2004.... but what bothers me is that i just got my first finger printing notice sent by hartford application center to be made on august 24th, how come the notice came from hartford and not from vsc in vermont? does this mean that i will gonna wait for more than 2 years before i receive my interview date? granting that my finger printing result gets cleared at FBi, what would happen next?

is your case in HArtford or VSC??
you take your fingerprints at the nearest service center


I live downstate CT so I went to New Rochelle NY
Iam really not sure what to tell you in regards to waiting my lawyer says hArtford has no order in which they are interviewing all kinds so you may get lucky. The processing dates have not changed for August so it has stopped at June 2004 ..

my case was originally filed at vermont, but got transferred (i485) to hartford application center last june 15, 2004... again i'm scheduled to have my 1st finger printing at hartford on aug 24th, 2004 from which the same application center who sent me the notice for it.

i dont know if i can do the finger printing at new rochelle as i intended to because i know that area pretty well than hartford, but the notice says that i have to do it at hartford on specified date.... well, i'll just wait for it and do next week.

by the way, i live in wilton, ct. near norwalk and stamford.

I would of thought you would have been appointed New Rochelle :confused: I am now having to get in touch with my lawyer as the 765 is 100 days. but that is filed at MSC I hope that something comes up soon its feels like I have been waiting 4 ever.. good luck to you when you go for your fingerprint you should enquire about how long it takes to process there I know as of Feb 04 they are no longer accepting any 485 applications ro 765 they forward them all onto MSC it states that all files that are filed there before the given date will be dealt with but I think maybe they are trying to focus on all the 485 that need interviews.

I :confused: am very surprised to read the comments about processing counted from the TD. When I called 800 number they clearly told me that processing dates on the web site consider RD not the TD
 
unfortunately that is what happens you have entered a new system in the USCIS so you get a new RD which is the date they received your transfer I was transferred oct 2003 and it states they are only processing June 03 (which was what it had said last month) but calculations tally it up to 1 month load of cases being processed in 1 month so it prob would take around 1 year to process, but the transfers to HArtford were not alot, but it seems now that alot of cases are being transferred into Hartford lets hope it don't slow things down even more

You must remember that they no longer deal with 765 EAD they transfer them all the national benefits center so give yourself plenty of time to renew I am already into 100 days, just awaiting Lawyer response as to what to do now..

it is not as bad as it seems you just have to learn to get on with your days and put it to the back of your mind because there is not really any way to track transfers to Hartford..
 
EAD From Hartford

My I-485 got transfered to Hartford on June 22 2004
I applied my EAD at Vermount Service center and they transfered it to Hartford. After Completing 90 days i went to Hartford Service Center and the officer ask me to come back after one week.After one week on 07/19/2004 , when i went there the officer gave me One year Intrem EAD.

just had my 1st finger printing today, aug 24 at hartford application support center after they transferred my i485 case to hartford from vsc last june 09, 2004 with notice date of august 25, 2003..... what happens next? when will i receive my interview notice from hartford? any comments?

Did your file transfer from Missouri Service center to Hartford, CT? When did you get EAD and Advance parole? You had to pay for your second finger print again? Please give the details. I also submit my aplication through Hartford to MSC.

Hello Dip92,

Our case was filed at VSC in July 2002 and was transferred to Hartford Aug 2004. We had our 2nd finger printing done in April 2004, 3rd EAD approved in May 2004. Case was transferred after VSC received our response to the RFE.
