Hi Guys,

My case transfered to atlanta in June 2002 for scheduling an interview. I haven't heard anything from local office. Anybody has any information for cases transfered to atlanta? I tried several times going personally to local office but their board shows that they are processing July 2000 cases. just frustrated waiting for interview call. Please post the information if anybody got Interview notices recently.

Thanks

Transfer case

Was the case transferred from a different service center to Atlanta or TSC transferred the case to the Local Office??

Thanks.

Case in Atlanta

Has anybody heard of any time frames for the processing of 485 in Atl. I got my EAD with 30 days so I am hoping that 485 cases have been expedited as well. But maybe it's just wishful thinking. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what I know about Atlanta.

1. They are very, very messed up.
2. They process I-485s by original receipt date. What date was the I-485 received at VSC?
3. Congressional liasons say it may take up to 2 years from RD to get interview.
4. Atlanta BCIS says it may take 2.5 years.
5. When considering #3 and #4, remember #1. :)

I was transferred in October 2002, no news.

Hi All,

I went to Atlanta local office yesterday to collect my EAD card and found that they are currently processing May 2001 RD for AOS Interviews. My RD is June 2001 and they said I may get my Interview in 3 to 4 weeks.

Thanks

That's great news! Thanks for the update. The recently released AILA statistics seem to indicate that Atlanta INS is taking up to two years these days (which also matches what my Congressman told me) to hopefully with Special Reg over they can move a little quicker.

Is there any other information you may have heard in passing? Please keep us informed.

Confused

I guess I am interested in finding out when you file with a local office does it go to a service center or is it handled locally. I mean I filef for I485 and I30 through marriage. Is the delay caused in Atl or because it first goes to Texas and then comes here. ALso I was suprised I got my EAD in less than 30 days so hopefully now that SP is over things may move a little faster. Also are they going to request FP again since we also did that for SP. Once again Guys thanks for all the info. I hope the best for all.

First of all Thanks to everybody for replying. I am also interested to know if somebody knows somebody in Immigration can the person in the local office expedite the case.

Would you mind tell me which catogery your case is based on: EB1, 2, 3 or other? I just want to get idea where my case will be transferred, from service center to another center, or from center to local office.
Thanks for your response in advance.

Heard anything? I'm gonna call Zell's office tomorrow.

Progress - I will be heading down to his Atlanta office on Tuesday to drop off my paperwork and see what inquiries they can make on my case. It's been two years to the day since my I-485 was filed.

Any News?

How does the expediting of 485'f from oct onwards affect people with family based petitions.

Thanks,
QCO
