Guys,
My initial I-94 and H1B visa expired on September 14,2003. My company A applied (in June,2003) for an extension and it was approved on September 18,2003 till July 2005 ( my max 6-year period). I left company A on October 14,2003 and joined company B on October 15,2003. Company B had applied for my H1B visa on October 14,2003, so basically I joined one day after the Notice Date. I now have a few queries ( as the company lawyer is not very frank in giving out the details) :
1) Am I in status?
2) What category should company B have applied for the new H1B visa ?
"Change of status in US"
OR
"Extension of stay in US"
3) Can I go for premium processing now for the application already done?
