transfer of residence on passport

Thank you all i am in better frame of my mind i am desparate because we really need it and hence panicked. Do I need to put my husbands india address on N400 as spouses address? and in that case will they think that I also plan to go back after citizenship approves? For my husbands job we are trying to find him in usa but it is very much tougher.
 
Desparate2CTZ, what is the urgency with N-400 application ?

You already got one issue with somewhat complicated TOR- Indian residency transfer ...now you are about to add another complexity with husband's address. You have to be truthful in your application, i think you stated that your husband now lives in India and has no more direct residency ties to US. Otherwise, your application will be fraud.

Also, regarding TOR, i think the best strategy is to tell the truth. If asked by USCIS, just tell IO what it is that you did not understand fully consequencies...you were shipping some goods for family, not relocating to India yourself (assuming this is true) and you will be ready to compensate Indian Gov (IF NECCASSARY) duty fees.
 
DreamUSA there is no urgency but desparate yes because getting USC will open more doors for me in terms of employment. As for my husband he may loose his continuous residence it appears but i can get him back if i get my USC.
 
I don’t think it is big deal…. . The TOR stamp on the passport is by the Indian Customs ( NOT by the immigration) It is a mechanism to bring goods (usually used) from overseas with little or no duty for personal use as you are ‘planning’ to live in India and the goods are for your personal use . You are not claiming anywhere that you are abandoning the US LPR status. If the IO ask about this at the interview. Just tell the truth, tell him/her it is a stamp by the Indian Customs for the purpose of……..
On the other side, you owe some money to Indian Government for the unpaid customs duty  .
you may be asked at the Indian immigration/customs if you go back with this passport and they happen to notice.

If his stay in India is only a temporary measure while he looks for a US job, and he is still trying to get a US job, put your shared US home as his address, as the US address is still his permanent address which he plans to return to.
 
I wanted to tell all that I talked to a lawyer and got paid official answer. Basically the answer by tomja1234 is correct i need to tell IO that I sent things using sea-shipping and this is technicality with customs and also didnot give up my ties because my salary happened in USA and thought of sharing this with all. thanking you for help and happy new year.
