Hi,
I know this has been answered somewhere in the forum, but I couldn't get a definitive answer. So if its a common or a stupid question, ignore my ignorance..
I am on H1B, and my wife is GC holder. She filed a I-130 on my behalf in Jan 2003 in Texas. But now we have moved from Austin to the East Coast(Philly). So, technically we would fall under the Vermont service center instead of the Texas Service Center.
My question is,
1. How do I transfer my I-130 petition from Texas to Vermont?
2. Will I lose my priority date if I do that?
3. I just noticed that Texas is 2 years behind than Vermont in processing I-130? Will this affect my situation?
4. Is it advisable to this? What are the risks associated with this?
I would really appreciate some answers and opinions on this.
Thanks
