Hello,
I need some advice on an issue that I am facing... I am studying in United States on F-1 visa at a recognized university in Arizona. I have a 5-year multiple entry F-1 visa issued on the I-20 from this university in Arizona.
I have been offered admission in New York as a transfer student in a better school, and I am thinking about transferring this summer to this new school.
I know that my F-1 status can be transferred to the university in New York, on the I-20 issued by that school.
My question is that after the transfer if I go outside of the US, then would I need to obtain another F-1 visa for RE-ENTRY into the US? Is student visa tied to the original I-20, or is it also transferable to a new I-20 that I may get in future? Please advise.
Thank you in advance,
AH
