TRANSFER might be CSC's backlog reduction plan !?

Kashmire,
I am a WAC02277 case in CSC and I live in IL. As per your recent transfer report, this series of WAC02277 have been transferred. Can we find out any further details of this transfer?. How do we actually know that our case has been transferred?.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
GW
I have no idea about each case,
but I think any case, especially filed in March 2002 or later, can be transferred with high probability if this trend (CSC's strategy ?) would continue.

We will see the trend more clearly in a couple of weeks,
however, we had better take some action during this week.

In recent lite of transfer juggernaut, will you be doing a transfer report for Wac02 and Wac03? This is a request and only if you have time

and will you please post the excel format, if its not too much work for you.

I appreciate your effort either way. Thanks

This thread includes data between WAC-01-246 (ND 8/1/2001) and WAC-03-022 (ND 10/29/2002).
I'm not sure what kind of report you would like to see.

I don't have Excel.
I think you can edit data in CSV format, then read it into Excel.
Once you create Excel data, please post it for others.

Hi, haiwang112803;
>> Maybe, the CSC is targetting I485 cases filed in March 2002 or later. ????????????????????????

I wanted to say "the CSC is targetting I485 cases, which was filed in March 2002 or later, to transfer to district offices.

> I think they still process the cases before WAC-02-123 at CSC, and after 02-123 will transfer to local office.

Yes.
However, the CSC transfers even WAC-01 and Dec 2001 filed cases, too.

We might have to prepare our cases transferred to district offices.
Otherwise, the backlog would be moved simply from CSC to district offices.

List of cases touched in December

Attached is the list of cases between WAC-01-246 and WAC-03-024 touched in December 2003.
It includes not only "TRANSFERRED" but also "RFE SENT".
For transferred cases, district office name is added.

all,

if you find that your case has been transferred, can you please post some additional details of your case here on this board so that others here could have some idea about what to expect. Or we might figure what kind of cases could have a good chance of being transferred to the local office.

kashmir, nice to know this information. Thank you for your unending efforts.

does any one knows how long the local centers take to process transfered cases?. atleast the load would distribute accross the local centers. going in-person interview would avoid RFE related delays atleast.

any one in 02-157 series have any update on their case?

Hi Getmeout:

MY ND is 04 02 02

wac# 02 151 5XXXX. FP on 31 05 02

Nothing yet:mad:

I dont know if this is good or bad

based on these humongous transfer rates, I am afraid every local office may become like Atlanta or NY city where the waits are round 1.5-2 yrs. I am all for kashmir's plan that something needs to be done about these transfers.
People, please post pertinent info if your case is transferred.

Here is my opinion.

TRANSFERS should not be CSC's backlog reduction plan
because it moves backlog simply from CSC to district offices.
However, Don Neufeld, Director of CSC, has not been able to do anything for the last one year,
and I don't think he can implement any backlog reduction plan in near future.
He is totally powerless.

I am not sure right now whether each district office is ready to accept a lot of transferred EB I-485 cases or not.
But, most of district offices seem to be better than CSC now.
Of course, we need to pressure district offices through Congressional offices.
For instance, ND of I-485 must be considered to schedule an interview instead of transferred date.

For Los Angeles area, we may need another strategy.

Anyway, we need to know the detail status of each district office.

Could it be family based cases?

We really need to know what cases are they transfering. My guess is they could be transfering all family based 1-485s, instead of EB. From the scan it looks like someone went through the entire list selecting cases to be transferred.

If your or anyone you know , their case has been transferred , please post the case details.

70 % are transfered to Los Angeles ???? Are there so many I-485 pending at LA or is it LA has more resources to get this done at their local center.

Any non-LA resident's I-485 transfered to LA. Please post.

No, it could not be family based one.
In my understanding, family based ones didn't file I-485 at CSC.

Exactly.
The CSC seems to be able easily to transfer 400+ cases a day.
They must be randomly picked up.
It would realy contribute the backlog reduction at CSC, and CSC would be able to achiev its goal.
However, each district office should process transferred cases with the top priority,
otherwise, the backlog would be moved just from CSC to district offices.
I don't think every district office has agreed with CSC.

TRANSFER means EXPEDITE !?

TRANSFER might mean EXPEDITE for applicants with later WAC02 or WAC03, and even for cases filed in March or April 2002 if transferrd to "good" district office.

However, if this trend would continue, the backlog should start growing even at "good" district office.

Especially if you belong to one of "bad" district offices,
I think you had better contact your Congressperson to make CSC stop transfers right now.
