I called USCIS cust. service today and tried to clear up why I was getting a 2nd FP notice 3 days after doing a walkin FP on 12/24/08. The cust. rep kept insisting I should go to ASC for FP again. I told her I have been there twice: once when the ASC was closed due to the winter storm and then a walk in when my FP was done. I also told her the FBI office sent the FP results back to USCIS the same day.
She kept insisting I will not be told anything different by the IO. After I told her why would I want to drive for a third time to the ASC to be told sorry your FP are OK, she transferred the call. The IO pulled up my info and said they did receive the FP results and I am now in queue for scheduling my interview appointment. Because of the weather interruptions the IO said a lot of people are getting duplicate FP scheduling.
The IO suggested I send the Service center a cover letter with a copy of proof of FP being done although the staff at the ASC said to ignore a 2nd FP notice.
The 2nd FP appointment is for 1/24/09. Would it be okay to ignore the 2nd FP notice without being delayed in the process?
