Transfer from L1 to H1b

H1b from 1997 to 2003 for company A
Worked Outside country from 2003 to 2005 for same company A
L1A from 2005 onwards for same company A

I want to transfer from L1A to H1B for same company A, will the validity date be till the end date of L1A or will I get a new H1b which will be good for 6 years?

You'll be subject to quota. If you secure the quota in April, expiration date on H1 is 3 years later or end of 6 years of L1+H1, whichever comes eariler.
