Transfer at Laguna Neigual - California - Please reply

I got a letter from USCIS about transfer of my case from NSC to Laguna Neigul. Does anybody have transfer to laguna neigual recently ?
I am trying to findout about waiting time.
My Detail:
RD 08/2002 NSC
Transferr to 06/2004
NO job change.
Don`t know why ?

My case is like yours. I got transferred from TSC to CSC[Laguna Niguel]. Not to any local offices. They are pretty much faster than the local offices. I got my RFE already[But it is lost in mail!!!]. So, I hope you will soon hear from them.

I still don't know what this RFE is about. They mailed it on May 21st. But it is lost in mail or something else happened to it. My lawyer's office is inquiring with INS to re-send this RFE again. By the way where are you located?
 
I did not change my job. But after I-485 applied, I moved from KY to CA[Buena Park, Orange Co]. Also, in my case two merger/acquisition occured from the time of 485 filing. For a long time i did not hear anything from USCIS. But after the intervention of local congressman's office[Ed Royce], USCIS transferred my file from TSC to CSC stating that it will be faster if it stays with CSC than the local office. Looks like that is true :D

Yes I am in the same situation as you. I have not changed my job in the day i came to USA. I have also moved from CO to Fullerton last summer before changing to Woodland Hills. I am still on H1B never used my 3rd EAD.
IS laguna Neigual is NOT local office ? I thought when my case transferred to Laguna Neigual it is local office and I must have an interview for I 485 ? is it true ?
 
Perhaps Your move from CO to CA triggers the transfer. Usually they transfer the file to a district office for an interview. But now they transfer to service center itself. Laguna Niguel is the place where CSC is located. It is not a district office. The district office for this area[Orange Co] is in Santa Ana. I think for you the probability of getting a RFE is more than an interview. Because interviews are done at the Dist. office usually. My bad luck, RFE mail was lost in the mail. We have enquierd about it today.

When I hear what my RFE is about I surely will share with you.

I have received a letter from NSC saying that :

This is to advice you that in order to speed proceeding we have transferred the above case to the following INS office for processing

California service Center , 2nd Flr , 24000 Avila Road , Laguna Niguel CA :92607 Telephone 714-360-2769

That office will notify you of the the decision made on the application or petition. Any further inquires should be made to that office.

Question :

Did you get this kind of notice from TSC or from Laguna Niguel ?
Should I get any letter from Laguna Neguel ?
Did the online message change when they raise RFE ?

- yes I did.

- yes you will receive a letter from CSC[Laguna Niguel] saying that your case is transferred to their office on[This will be a later date from the one you got now] and it takes 730 to 760 days[the usual crap!] to make a decision blah blah.

Did the online message change when they raise RFE ?
- Yes it changes when they issue a RFE

How long to wait for getting letter from Laguna office ? My case was transferred to Laguna on 15th June . I have not received a notice from Laguna office yet. I have called 714-360-2769 number to find out my status.
Look like number printer on notice is not right. Any comment on this please ?

Sorry for the belated reply because I was held up at my work. I haven't got the RFE yet. I think I got the same number on the notice when I got transferred to Laguna Niguel. But I haven't tried that number. I will verify that later.

For me, first I got the online message stating that my case got transferred to CSC[Dt. 04/05/04]. Then I got the noticec from TSC stating that my case is transferred to Laguna Niguel with Address and phone number etc.,[Dt 04/09/04]. On May 21st CSC issued a RFE which is lost in the mail!!! So anytime you can either get an approval[ :) I surely wish you this!] or a RFE like mine or an Interview[I don't wish this because it will take long time to get an interview scheduled :eek: ].

The best possible course for you will be to contact your local congressman's office if current I-485 processing date is past your ND. They can inquire your case with CSC directly. Thats what I did.

I have called CSC 1-800 Telephone number yesterday and found out that Laguna Neigual has shut the telephone service. To find out the status we need to write a letter to CSC address. 714 number is disconnected and not in service anymore.

Did you get any RFE yet ? it is more then 41 days for your RFE issued.
Did you or attornery get any explanation or answer from USCIS ?
Yestday my message change as follows:

On June 25, 2004, your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received here for processing. It is taking between 730 and 730 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete

Currently they are processing cases of May 2002.

Did you know that you should reply RFE in 30 days ?

not yet. My attorney sent an enquiry to get the RFE. But we are not successful yet. on my part, I also spoke to an IIO and gave all my details. I was told within 4 to 6 weeks either me or my attorney will receive the RFE. I think USCIS goofed up my address. I sent AR-11 2+ years ago and called 1800 number to change my address on my file. More, so far I got all my EAD FP and letters from USCIS to my current address.

We have to reply for RFE in 90 daysnot in 30 days.

the message you are seeing on your case from CSC. It means that CSC received your case. Anytime soon you will hear from them on their next move. I think they act fast on the cases transferred from other centers. I wish you good luck :)

Thanks for inquiring. Not yet. USCIS is one hopeless institution[as everyone knows!!] they unnecessarily complicate an issue than making it simple. When we applied I-485, I was working for company A. Now I am working for Comp D. I moved to D by aquisitions and mergers. The attorney name on USCIS record is the one who was with company A, even today. Since all were aquisitions/merger, we didn't need to change the attorney to the current one.
Now, through our old attorney, we are asking USCIS to send a fax or reissue the RFE. But USCIS is like a mocking bird says that they need 30 days to process. Means on may 21 they isseud RFE. Since we haven't received, we had to contact them on June 21. We did it. We still haven't received. Now they say, the next query canbe made only on July 21st!!!!! Until then I have to wait. :mad:

This is the story as of now. I will keep you updated when I get the RFE.
