Traking DOL list for California due to 245I Part 3

DOL is still stuck on oct 29th as of March 6th. they now mention seattle cases in the AVM --so has CA and wsahington DOL merged or something? there is a lot of difference between luckstar\'s 09507XXX, 29-OCT-2001, and keylong\'s case no 09512XXX, 13-NOV-2001 -- is this because of the 245 cases--would all these cases be under RIR?

Let see what will happen in the next few days. As you did the math
the same way I did so it about 5000 cases. As I understand we are
on April 30 line now. Then it is two possibilities or we will stick on
Oct 29th for a few day or weeks or our math is wrong.
 
Yes, 10/29 is the last of April 30 cases

By 10/31, SESA in CA was xferring 5/4/01 cases to DOL. However, I don\'t know what the other SESA\'s were doing- when did they transfer the last of their April 30 cases to DOL.

BUT, note that the case load at DOL for 10/29 is fairly small: 176 cases only. So the reason they are stuck at 10/29 is probably not case load, but some other reason (such as they are not working on cases because of some stupid admin problem with merging at DOL). God knows when they will get back to doing real work.
 
90 days is kind of optimistic

not to increase your anxiety, but currently DOL is processing 10/29/01, which puts them 128 days behind. So ~4 to 5 months is probably more realistic than 90 days.

sepra, i havent got the DOL Rd from my lawyer but my case was transferred on dec 92th --waht was ur transfer date. pd is june 4th
 
My understanding on CA DOL

I like to share some of my understanding with you guys since it looks like there are a lot of misunderstanding here.
1. the case number is not continuous, and not in order. I saw some people had later PD and RD than me but have smaller case number.
2. Looks like DOL sometimes also work on weekend since my case was approved on weekend, my attorney said he has several clients also got approved on the same day.
3. There are whole bunch of No-RIR case mixed in the line, so you may see there are hundreds of case number before you, but the RIR case is not as many as you thought.

Anyway, I also have a question.
Anyone knows where I can find the CA 140 discuss board?
I see there are many different 140 board on this website and don\'t know which one I should go. Thanks for tip.

Luckstart-
You may be right, I have seen cases where the difference between the RD and the transfer date is just couple of days..I think its jitup\'s case.
So it is not necessary that the case numbers show the correct picture. We will have to wait and watch how the movement is after this week as the April 30th deadline comes to an end.

JituP - Can you take a shot at this?

I was trying to collate some of the data I received from LCStatus, and it seems like a mammoth task. My question to you was this decrepancy that I noticed, Some LC were approved inspite of being submitted way after some other\'s which are still pending approval. Is the difference due to RIR/Non-RIR? I did notice the huge difference in Salary as well. Also if you already have the information what case numbers are being processed currently and what is the update on the list you had posted in the previously?

Personally after using the same method in part, I think that was a brilliant idea. Just painfull! :) I have no clue what those guys who disagree with your data are smoking, but unless the database that LCStatus checks against is wrong, there is no way your information is incorrect.

So thanks once again for the effort involved, Can you please post more collated information if you have any on the status. I think that will go a long way in keeping us on the pulse of the DOL movement.

MY pd is june 5th and when i checked AVM system on march 1st, I got a message saying, DOL has received my application on JAN 11th. but yesterday my attorney sent a letter(copy of DOL letter), which states, DOL has received my application on March 1st.

here are details of DOL letter.

Dear Sir/madam

we received the application for Alien Employment Certification filed for the above-referenced employer and alien om March 1 2002. This receipt date establishes the application\'s placement in the processing queue.

The processing time for permanent, labor certification application is approximately 18 months from the date of receipt in this office. Reduction-in-Recruitment (RIR) applications are being processed within 90 days of their recipet. Temporary labor certification (H-2B) application are processed with in 10 days.

thanks for the info. its so wierd though-- the RD date difference between DOL\'s AVM and the letter from DOL. when you check your case number through LCSTATUS09@doleta.gov -- do you get the same RD of march 1st?

"I work for a copy A. My company merged with Company B ( sister company) but they called it company C after the meger.
Due due this my work location or job is not going to change. My question is will my LC be any useful now. or Should I apply again through company C? "

Mine is same case but they didnt change name to "C", so did you able to get answer to your post? Are you still with same LC process?

Luckstar, these are things ( facts ) i know
1. DOL case number are not in serial order.
2. No way to find out if the case is RIR/ non-RIR
3. I have seen some cases submitted in NOV approved in NOV/DEC 2001
4. Some applications are approved for Big Computer Company and some on not approved for the same Big one. These were received in sep/oct. I don\'t know the reason???
5. I think by this Monday OCT 29 should be done.

If someone doesn\'t agree with the above info. , thats fine. But please no fights like the earlier one.

Updating with my case number

The date returned by the email is the date the application got forwarded from sesa to dol. The RD would be different and would be shown on the letter.
