Traffic Violations

I have done lot research on this site on traffic tickets but I could not conclude much. Here is my dilema regarding traffic tickets:

I lived in 3 states in the last 12 yrs. I have 4 traffic tickets in last 12 yrs. I do not have any traffic violations in the last 5 yrs. None of the states show any records of any of my violations. 2 of my tickets were more than 7 years. Since none of the states keep records more than 7 yrs. No records of my violations. Two of my violations were between 5 & 7 yrs. Court said that If I pay $30 extra and do not get another within 6 months, my violation do not get into my records. I did not get any. So, records shows cleans.

Now, Should I Say "YES" or "NO" for #16 in Part 10 of my application. Please help Gurus...... Thank you.

If I were you, I would definitely say, "NO". Actually, that's what I did on my application as well.

Definitely "NO"

I just got US citizenship on last Wed.

I still remember that when I had interview, I told IO that I got a "Parking Citation" on the date of fingerprinting, and have to amend N-400 form. The IO asked "you haven't been arrested or put on cuff by cops, right?" ...
"Definitely NOT!!!",I said... then he told me "just forget it, I only care the violation of the law".

I think if it's not on the record, you definitely don't have to mention it!

Don't mention...

Thank You Sir.

You should not mention these citation ticket, because they aren't important enough to raise issues of moral turpitude. For example, if you got a DUI and had your way with a prostitute, then got arrested, then YOU will be forced or required to mentioned them and provide disposition of these matters. To be honest, you will not be eligible for US citizenship if these were the case, but these are minor tickets.

Relax... and NO on the question, and you will be in good shape. ;)
