I am an out of status student. I will be filing for my GC thru marriage with a USC soon. I was wondering if my traffic violation warrants will be an issue later on. Is it recommended that I clear them ASAP before I file for GC?
Get stuck in FBI name check has nothing to do if you have active or inactive warrant. People who even has no issue with the law had been stuck in name check for other reasons like people with your same name committed a crime and then unfortunately you get stuck too. Just the issue to have a warrant can just affect you in the normal background check and even some traffic violations (varies by state) can be an issue. As a person/citizen/resident or resident-to-be you should be clear with the law.
