Traffic tickets & warning - the ifluence?

I wonder what do traffic violations mean to us as permanent resident and future naturalization process.

1) What problems can you face from the immigration point of view?

2) Yesterday I got stopped in Utah for not fully stopping at the stop sign. However, the officer gave me warning. Is that somewhere in the system?

3) The officer asked me two very weird questions in addition to the situation. "What are you doing in Utah?" , "Are you coming back through Utah again?" - for my curiosity, why he asked?

From that, I don't have anything for my records. I guess I will receive sth in the mail later for my records?

He perhaps wanted to know if you liked his state good enough to pay a return visit to :)

most moving traffic violations have no impact on your future naturalization, assuming you have paid any fines and no DUI is involved. Should you actually get a fine in mail, either pay up or challenge it in the local court (don't know how far from home Utah is for you). And keep any paperwork on how a traffic citation was resolved as you'll need to list citations in a N-400 application. If you search more on the USC forum here, there are lengthy threads about traffic citations...

a warning is just that, a warning; it's not a citation and does not get entered into DMV or court records. You're good then
