Tracking I-485 applications filed between July 2nd and July 17th

This thread is intended to track I-485 applications filed BETWEEN July 2nd and July 17th ONLY. My spouse and I filed for I-485/EAD/AP on July 10th. We haven't received any receipt notices yet.

Has anyone filed in this period received the receipt notice?. Please share your details.

(Someone mentioned that, technically, we filed our applications when our "PD wasn't current" because between July 2nd and July 17th the revised bulletin was in effect and no visa numbers weren't available then.

So I am wondering how this pans out. Should we refile or just wait for the receipt notices ?.)

Filed on July 11th - but with no empl letter!!!

Hi, my attorney filed mine on July 11th but forgot to include the empl letter so I am not sure what my status will be!

This concerns only those applications filed between July 2nd and July 17th.

I checked your thread. It talks about the whole of July. After July 17th, USCIS should anyway accept the applications. My thread concerns only those applications that were filed during that "critical" phase between July 2nd and July 17th.

Did anyone, who filed during THAT period, get the receipt notice ?. I know maybe it is too early to get them, but if someone has got their application rejected just because they filed during the period "when visa numbers weren't available" (or PD isn't current), then we need to know that in advance so that we can re-file it before the Aug 17th deadline.

Tracking the untraceable

My application was sent on June 29th, and was hopefully be there by July 2nd. Thanks to my lawyer, it was sent by priority mail without any tracking or confirmation. I have no way to know whether it was even received.

I had called USCIS and was told that receipt notice usually takes about a month. I am planning to wait till then, and might have to send application again to make sure I don't miss the deadline.

Anyone knows the number of applications USICS might receive during this period? Is there anybody else like me..frequently checking his/her bank account to see if their checks are cashed.

And if you care to answer, is it a standard practice for laywers to send such important applications without tracking?

I mailed mine 7/11/07 and received delivery confirmation that it was received at NSC on 7/16/07.
