I would like to start a new thread, hopefully it will be usefull to everyone who filed in January. Please list your January filing dates and the status of your case cases.

01/19/07 I-130/I-485/I-131 for both mailed to Chicago Lockbox.
01/25/07 ND Receipt from MSC.
01/30/07 ND FP/BIO.
02/09/07 ND I-130 & I-485 Transferred to CSC.
02/16/07 FP done for both.
02/28/07 ND for second FP for Mom as first FP could not be processed.
03/05/07 ND I-130 for Dad approved.
03/07/07 ND welcome letter sent.
03/14/07 Mom's second FP done.
03/14/07 Dad's Green card Received.( Day 54)
????? Awaiting Mom's GC.

I would appreciate timeline information from members about receiving GC after similar repeat FP.

I had my interview on the 21st and was approed. Apparently my welcome letter has been mailed out and my GC is being processed!

Maybe your interview letter will come any day. Your biometrics was before mine, and mine had been processed, so hopefully yours will be too.

My wife is expecting GC (Interview March 3 2007 - Des Moines). No Passport Stamp. Office was very polite and nice. She finished interview with no closing comments. After asking for the status, she told us GC is approved and we will get within 2-3 weeks.

EAD received last week. Status changed online for I765 (EAD).
No status change online for I-485.

The card is now in Production as of the 27th ! Now just need it to arrive here in a nice little package so i can celebrate!!

1. What are your DOs?
2. Did your I-485 case online status description change when you went for biometric and AOS interview? Or did it change suddenly to approved?

My wife had fingerprint and biometrics done but case online shows Case received and Pending since Feb. Processing is still at MSC. However we had the interview done so case should have moved to DO which is in Des Moines.

Case online DOs I looked is still showing current processing of Sep dates and obviously yours have been processed already.

I wonder how USCIS online case staus is really getting updated...

I am sorry, I do not know what DO means.

As for USCIS case status. There was no update after my biometrics and it took 2 days after my interview for it to be updated online to say that a welcome letter had been sent out. Then a week later I got another update saying that my green card was in production.

Ok, I understand a bit more what you were asking. So, what USCIS do with their processing dates is:

if they are within their specified framework (eg they set themselves a target of 3 months to process a particular type of form, and they are processing them within 3 months) they will put their time of processing as the last date of their framework. This can mean they are really processing as fast as a month for example, but with still have the 3 month date. If however, they are behind, eg they say it should take 3 months but it is actually taking, for example, 4 months, they put the actual date, rather than their guideline date. I hope this makes sense.

Looks like USCIS is working ! I am noticing LUDs on my 765/130/485 for last couple of days. Waiting for e'mail informing EAD card production ordered. Today is day 73.

CRIS welcome letter for PR

Finally I received welcome permanent resident e-mail from CRIS.

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

This ends the anxious check of my email every day since the interview in March.
