DOL is processing 10/4 on 12/31. Haifei, check your case

You RD is 10/1, should be processed. Check your case status with your attorney!

congratulations !!!

Hi greenEnvy,
This is good news. Infact it is a relief. Im assuming this is an RiR case. Can you pleez clarify if they were layoffs in your department or layoffs in your company (and not in your dept).

Anybody who is approved, can they mention if they had layoffs in their companies. That would help.

DOL is moving one day forward for every day

The speed of DOL processing is definitely lacking! It appears that they move one day forward for each calander day and some days not even that. At this rate we are going to be seeing a massive delay in labor approvals. I wish they would speed things up. Labor certification is going to take a whole year as compared to 2 - 3 months which it was at the beginning of this year.

This is depressing! :-(

what comforts me ...

is the fact that the others are in worst shape than SF DOL from what i hear.

If this is the case before all the 245i cases are transmitted

How it would be when they start processing the applications received on 04/30 the last day of 245i.

Will this 245 backlog continue through I-140 and I-485?

Does anyone have a better idea if this massive delay will continue to plague us all the way through our remaining processing? I mean are all these 245 cases going to be ahead of us in the I-140 and I-485 stages as well.

245 backlog

They should differentiate between 245 atleast at I140 stage. I guess this delay is only for Labor Certification.

Yes, backlog will carry to 140, 485

I believe that the backlog will carry forward :( Simple reason- the effect of 245i has just been to increase the total number of people applying for GCs by forcing them to apply before Apr. 30. As the labor of these people gets approved, they will naturally file 140. Therefore, 140 queues will also get longer... There is no escaping this now. Then, 485 queues will get longer... and those of us who have PDs after April 30 will always be behind the 245i guys. However, since some 245i must have been NON-RIR, you can hope that if your case is RIR, you will be able to get ahead of the 245 applications by getting your labor before the 245i labor petitions get approved.

I am truly frustrated by this- but realistically, I think the total times may be in the range of 1 yr for RIR labor followed 1 yr for 140 (assuming priority dates stay current- which they may not if there are enough 140 approvals), and then 1 to 2 yrs for 485.
