Last I heard was May 25th.

I do not see a thread for tracking SESA list. Why not we do this, we start a start titled SESA Tracking list for CA and have every ones priority dates on that. Every week one person will call SESA and update the curent processing date.

Please comment.

you said your case transfer to DOL on 9/18. is it the date SESA trasfer your case to DOL, or is it the date DOL receive your case?
Sice they are more than 10 days difference between these two date.

thanks for update, serg38. It is good to see SFDOL finally is moving forward, though it looks like SFDOL is much slower than SESA now, which I don\'t understand. since some case from big company which had layoff recently are pending, DOL should have fewer case to process than SESA every day, it should move faster. How come it is much slower than SESA?

Did you call up to get that information? I believe DOL are processing 9/20/01 when i saw the post message on 12/10/01.

DOL voice system

Yes it\'s Sept 28. They now have current processing date in their voice system.
Call (415)975-4601 then twice press 1 on a touch tone phone.
 
90 days

my attorney said he got receit for his other clients from DOL, and said DOL will take 90 days to process one case right now.
Though I don\'t see that would happens based on the date DOL is processing now.
Anyway, just some news for you guys, and also help to keep this thread on front page.

Did any one get DOL\'s approval?

How many days will it take to get in DOL\'s system from the date it was approved in SESA?
 
245(i) is causing the delay

After looking at everyone\'s dates, those who applied for LC before 4/30 with SESA, have their applications forwarded to DOL around the end of Sept. or early Oct. This includes 245(i) applicants.

So i guess, this DOL processing date of 28th Sept. will be there for long. But once that is done, things will pick up as they did with SESA.

Lets hope for the best.

That does not make sense to me. Since all cases were screened in SESA before they were forwarded to DOL. So the amount of cases DOL received every day should be almost consist. Dealayed 245(i) cases should not affect DOL process date since DOL process date is based on the receive date for DOL.
Anyone has better insigh, please comments.

you are right in your conclusion IF the processing rates at SESA and DOL are about the same. However, it may be that SESA hired more people to process the April cases, and so now a back log has built up at DOL since DOL Processing Rate became less than SESA processing rate while SESA had temp workers/ overtime workers.

just my 2cents worth guess... Anycase, I don\'t think the DOL delays should be as large as the SESA delay\'s were, since the differnce in processing rates could not have been that large to allow a big backup at DOL.
 
Some more info

If 245i is closed on April 30th then we are looking around 25th Oct as the last date when these applications were sent to DOL. So according to current DOL rate (28th sept), we have pile of applications that were transfered between 28th sept and 25th oct. We should see some change in pace after this time is over.
 
245i were transmitted between 8/14 and 10/25

Your analysis is proabably correct - 245i applications were transmitted between August 14 and October 25th to DOL, with more applications towards October- so after they are done with this period, things should speed up.
