Approval Atlast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Folks,

My I-485 was finally approved after a really looooooong wait.
The applications for me & my wife have been pending with TSC
for 838 days. Received the courtesy approval notices for
both applications in mail today. Here are my application details:

PD: 4/99
RD: 2/00
ND: 2/00
FP1: 4/00
FP2: 11/01
EAD: 3 approved, 4th pending
AP : 5/9/02

This forum has been immensly useful. The wealth of information
available by interaction via these discussion forums has
always been the primary source for suggestions & feedback.

My sincere thanks to Mr. Khanna & his staff for their efforts
in providing this service.

I live in Dallas & contacted my local congressman Richard Armey\'s
office. Let me know if you or anyone else needs more info about
this. I\'ll be glad to share info and help out in anyway I can.

Should I go thro\' my lawyer??
I would be of great help , if you could tell me the whole process of contacting the congressman.
Also let me know if u had got any RFE, any AC21 issues etc.
well my case is RD 12/99 and its been a very long wait.

Contacting Senator/Congressman

Balaji,

You can contact one of 3 representatives:
1. Senator Hutchison
2. Senator Gramm
3. Your district congressman. Use www.congress.org & your
   zip code to get this info. You may or maynot be in
   Dick Armey\'s district.

I initially contacted Senator Hutchison\'s office & was told that
their office was back logged for atleast 60 days. I then contacted
congressman\'s office by calling their office phone number available
thru www.congress.org. Typically congressman\'s office has a
designated person dealing with gov casework such as immigration
etc. The relevant person then faxed me a form to fill-up. I filled
the form & faxed it back on the same day & that\'s all I had to do.
Ofcourse I sent them a letter with all the details. If you need,
I can attach the sample letter as well. Let me know if you need
more info.

Coming back to my case specifics, I had no RFE or AC21 issues.
Also my FP were current before I contacted the congressman
& essentially all info was available to INS for approval.

called senator/congressman

RD 11/99
ND 11/99
2 EAD\'s, applied for third.
Went for 2nd FP in feb. 2002.

We contacted senator and INS replied to senator which they forwarded us. INS said that our file will be pulled and reviewed in 60-90 days.
Does anyone know what that means and how long it will still take?

Employment RFE on 04/15/02
Replied on 04/30/02
and now still waiting.

So all I have do is
1. Find the from www.congress.org , the name of the congressman.
2. After speaking to them , I need to fax this letter to their office.
3. Wait for them to get back to you . ( Do they phone, write or email the response??)

Contacting Congressman

Balaji,

The method of response may vary but I received a letter
from the congressman\'s office indicating that the office
was successful in resolving my issue positively & that
I would hear from the INS soon.

When you contact them, they will ask you to fill out
a form that\'ll authorize them to find out your case-status.
You can attach the sample letter along with that form.

with my zip code 75252-3209 , i tried to get the congressman info but i couldn\'t find any.
can you please verify, how to find??
