Tracker: I485 pending for over 2 years

All,

Lets start a tracking/discussion channel for all I-485
filers waiting for over 2 years. All applications filed
prior to TSC official processing date of 3/2000 must have
been approved by now but many haven\'t.

Lets share information about these special cases & help each
other out in finding out why & what to do next.

My application details:

PD: 4/1999
RD: 1/2000
ND: 2/2000
FP1: 4/2000
FP2: 11/2001
EAD: 3 approved.
AD: Still waiting...

No. haven\'t tried to contact local congressman.

I understand that it has produced fruitful results in some
cases. I was told my an IIO a couple weeks ago that my application
is at a workstation waiting to be assigned to an officer.
Does anyone have similar experience? Let me know what happened
next.

Approved as of 03/28/02

I don\'t know what did it but couple of week back I contacted the congressmen through EMAIL, I faxed the INS inquiring about my case last week and on Friday night I got the good news through AVM. I am waiting for the Approval notices now. Thank you all this site was a great help.
 
mine is same case

ND - 12/99
FP1 - 03/00
FP2 - 12/01

on Feb\'08 - my AVM changed to "RFE was issued on Feb\'08"
Me nor my attorney got the RFE.
on Feb\'26 - AVM changed to "We received reply to RFE on Feb\'26th"
But me nor my attorney replied.
Me nor my attoeny replied since we never received it.
I don\'t know whatz happening.
spoke to 3 different IIO\'s and they reply the same thing as AVM.
just waiting ..

this could help us in figuring out whatz happening on our long waited cases.

PD July 1997. Still Waiting

Still waiting. Myself and lawyer both called several times but of no use. All the times we got conflicting answer.
 
Fax twice a week

I have started faxing INS twice a week. I will do that until they reply me.

alien numbers incorrect

Hello
     Here is my situation. Senator\'s office in Atlanta called me and said that they talked to INS and that the answer to my case is that the Alient # for me is different from the 485 application to the EAD approval.

485 & Finger Print is xxx 8 xxx
EAD & Parole is xxx 2 xxx

Some one inside INS accidentaly changed the Alien Number just when I applied for my first EAD.

I dont understand as to why EAD Alient Number mistake should affect processing of GC. But I dont want to discount anything with INS.

This I found out only after Senator Office found out. If I had thought that it is a regular processing delay, I think I would have been waiting for about 5 more years....

Anyway please check your Alien Numbers also.

Folks,

I\'ve been believing the informations IIO\'s gave me for the
last 4 months. They mislead me to the point where they said my
applications were assigned to an officer & now today another IIO
said, my app is still @ a workstation & not assigned & my wife\'s
app is not even at a workstation.

Lesson Learnt: DO NOT believe IIO\'s completely. I will contact
               Texas senator & see what that can do in this
               process of dealing with what maybe the sickest
               organization in the world.

PETITION TO TSC DIRECTOR

I agree with Sanathana\'s message below.
I guess there are about 10-15 people who have responded
to this discussion (I-485 pending for over 2 years).
We can all get together & send a petition to TSC director.

I\'m not sure if JAMES ZIGLAR will be of any help but I guess
we have nothing to loose. It will only highlight the pathetic
situation at TSC to Mr. ZIGLAR.

Please resposnd if you\'d like to be part of this petition.
