Yesterday I recd receipt notices for my AP and EAD applications. Surprisingly I have not gotten the notices for the 485 applications for me, my wife and daughter .. nor did I receive receipt notices for their APs and my wife's EAD...

Hopefully they are in the mail and are being delyed due to ThanksGiving weekend ....

Let us use this thread for all Nov 2002 AOS filers at NSC

Filled I485/EAD/AP ON Nov 15th 2002.


No Idea whether my lawyer even received the receipt notices coz my lawyer is not a client friendly guy to inform us.


I140 already got approved on Oct 11th 2002:

Received Notice for FP. I have to appear for FP at the local INS office on 01/02/03.

My RD: 11/12/02 (485,EAD,AP)
No AD yet for all the three.
Hopefully you guies will also be getting FP notice pretty soon.
 
Receipt Notices

We had applied a total of 8 applications.

3 485s (1 each for me, my wife and daughter)
3 APs (1 each for me, my wife and daughter)
2 EADs (1 each for me and my wife).

We received the receipt notices for all applications except APs for my wife and daughter and EAD for my wife.

The applications reached NSC on 11/21 as seen from the other receipt notices. Obviously this is not normal. But can anything be done to understand what is happening?

Here is my case.


I-140 : Approved on Nov 7th 2002.

I-485 RD : Oct 25th 2002.
I-485 ND : Nov 12th 2002.


Received All receipt notices for I-485, EAD, AP

AP ( I-131) : Approved 25h Nov 2002
EAD ( I-765 ) : Approved 5th Dec 2002
FP notice : Received on 6th Dec 2002 scheduled sometime
Jan 2003.

I-485 Nov 2002 Tracking

My 485 was filed in November 2002

EB2/RIR
RD - Nov 15th
ND - Nov 19th

FP - ??
AP - ??
EAD - ??

Waiting for Information still from the INS. Also, guys please post whether it is EB2 or EB3 cause I am in EB2 and am not sure whether it takes time for EB2?

Had a question. I checked my case status on the INS website. It returned the status for my EAD LIN (60 to 75 days for decision, etc) but for the other LINs (485/140), it said case status not found. Is this normal? Should I spend half hour trying to see if the Automated Voice mail returns the same thing?

Feedback appreciated.

485 days is what it shows for me also

When I tried to check my case status online it showed the similar message of 485 days and so forth and 140 days for advance parole and 60-75 days for EAD. I am not sure whether this is for EB2 category.

Does this 180 days rule starts from filing date or Notice date? I filed my I485 on Nov15th 2002.

10/15/02 I-485 APPLIED WITH (EAD AND AP)
10/25/02 RFE I-140
11/08/02 RECEIVED DATE OF 485
11/15/02 RESPONSE TO I-140 RFE
11/20/02 RFE RESPONSE RECEIVED BY INS
12/02/02 I-140 APPROVED
12/06/02 GOT FP NOTICES
12/05/02 GOT AP APPROVAL
12/07/02 GOT EAD CARDS

On my FP notices it shows Priority Date - 10/16/2002
and Notice Date - 10/16/2002

EAD and I140 approval

I saw a posting on this forum saying that EADs will not be issued before I140 is approved for concurrent filers.
I called up the IIO today and asked him about this. He confirmed that I will NOT be eligible for EAD before I140 is approved.

I was under the impression that an EAD would be issued after some preliminary checks on the I140. I stand contradicted.

I asked the IIO as to how much time it takes to process EB2 cases. He said around two and half months. Now that time frame doesn't sound right.

Has anybody been issued EADs before I140 approvals in concurrent filings (especially EB2s)? Or is it another piece of mis-information?
 
I filed for I-140 and I-485 along with EAD and AP on Oct 28 2002. I am yet to get the EAD cards.

A friend of mine applied for I-485 ( he had got his I-140 already ) around the same time and he has been issued the EAD's.

From this and based on the posting in another thread on this forum, it seems as if the INS is waiting for the I-140 to be approved before issuing the EAD
 
AP approved

I got my AP approved. No change in status of EAD yet.

AD for EAD -- ???
 
I got my EAD also approved today. Got AP approved for wife but waiting on EAD for my wife. For RD & ND please see the above post.
 
FP Notices

Any idea when one can expect FP notices?

The following are some of the details :
EB2, RIR Concurrent filing

RD Nov. 01, 02 (I-140, I-485, AP, EAD)

ND Nov. 22, 02 (I-140, I-485, AP, EAD)

I-140 Approval - Dec. 18
EAD Approval - Dec. 19
AP Progress - Dec. 20 (Quote " The document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed.....") No idea whether the application is approved.
:confused:

My wife is planning to travel in the near future to India. Can we re-schedule FP appointments? Are obtaining appointments again tough? Other than delay in 485 processing is there anything else one needs to be concerned about?

Appreciate feed back.

can u tell me ur lin starting numbers coz my nd date is nov 20th and still no reply. my lin number starts with lin 0303850...
