Tracker - EAD and AP from VSC

Hi

I have Question regarding AP. If AP is not approved with in 2 months, can I go to local office and get it done.

It depends upon where you are located. If you show real emergency in some places BCIS is issuing AP.
If you tell where are you located some one from that place can help you out. There are lot people from Boston who got their AP from local office. It also depends upon officer. Really uncertain

My status says "BCIS is sending RFE".
What does that means and usually how to resolve this or get out of it?

My six year is going to be over in Nov/03

AP extension please help

Hi,

My AP is expiring on Nov3rd, EAD is expiring on Feb 18, 2004. Could you guys please help me with the following questions.

a. Should I file for both AP and EAD together or seperate.

b. What forms do I need to fill for AP and EAD.

c. Someone had referred me to form I-131 for AP. Is this correct. If yes how should I answer Part 3. in the form where it asks for Intended date of departure, expected length of trip. I am only asking this coz I dont' have any travel plans, I need to have AP in Case I start working on EAD in which case I would be unable to travel on H-1.

My details

EB2 with I-140 approved (substitute labor, no RFE, no concurrent processing)

I-485, AP, EAD all have R.D. 12th Aug'03

Received an RFE on EAD on 19th Sep'03 asking for passport information as part of new requirements.

On Oct 10th the message changed to

"On October 10, 2003, we received your response to our request for evidence or information. It is taking between 60 and 90 days for us to process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case."

Did anyone get this type of messge? How much time it takes after this to get the EAD approved?

Also my AP didn't get approved till now.

re differences in processing times for AP

I see that there is a vast difference in processing times for AP and EAD for some people. Is it due to where the application was sent. where should the AP/ EAD extension application be sent, is it to Saint Albans, Vermont or to the Local BCIS office.

AP and EAD , both first time, are pending from 30 July 2003 with VSC.
How long will it take?

EAD approved, but RFE for AP

I posted this on another thread some time back. EAD for me and my wife got approved on Oct 20, 03 and received the cards valid for one more year from expiry of our first card (until 02/05). Advance Parole for the entire family (including kids) have a RFE generated message. Have yet to receive the RFE letter.

EAD/AP Receipt Date : 08/28/03

EAD approval : 10/20/03

AP RFE : 10/23/03

I-485 Receipt date is Dec-02
