A random scan of USCIS case status shows Feb 4 approvals of EAD cases with receipt numbers WAC05040xxxxx. This
indicates receipt dates very late Nov. (Notice data might even be early December).
 
My AP receipt date is Oct 28 2004

have not received AP approval yet although USCIS paosted date is Nov 4, 2004.

Hi Mallusan ,

I am also trying to do random scan of WACs, is there a logic in the numbering of WAC?

"WAC" indicates California service center.
The first five letters after that indicate the notice date, I believe. Thus WAC05040xxxxx is Nov 30, 2004, or thereabouts. WAC05041xxxxx will be the next working day and so forth...
 
Latest CSC processing times update says on Feb 8th, they had processed 485 based EADs and APs filed on or before Dec 6th.

I have Dec 1 RD and Dec 6 ND, but neither the EAD nor the AP has been touched, according to online status.

Well, I should have guessed this would happen: just after posting my note about not hearing anything, I get a letter saying that my AP has been approved. Still nuthin' on the EAD, tho (although saying that will probably mean that it turns up in 5 minuites)...

Update. EAD got LUD on 2/11. No change in message.

Added: Another LUD on 2/14, no change in message. They are doing this just to increase my bp. :(

EAD also approved. Got the email today and LUD is also today (2/16), but approval date is yesterday's.

My EAD was approved yesterday, CSC, RD 12/08/04,

what document UCSIS is going to send to me? EAD approval notice, or EAD card? how many days I can receive these things?

ltiger, there is no separate approval notice for EAD. What they will send you is the EAD card, and that, essentially, is the approval notice.

I don't know how long they take from "we approved your application and ordered a card" to actually mailing the card out.

Hi, my RD day is 12/13 and ND is 12/16/04.
My (and my husband's) AP approved on 2/15 but our EADs were approved on 2/17, 2 days later. So, wait a few more days. I now am waiting for the cards and letter via postal mail. In those EAD messages, they say that "they ordered cards..."
 
JinCA, I believe the online message will change to "mailed the card" once they mail the card. I don't know how long it takes from "ordered card" to mailing it.
