Townhall Meeting with Lamar Smith (Dec 6th) – Austin, TX

Thanks for the efforts

Lea and Andhra 485 thanks for going to the meeting. I asked my lawyer and she mentioned that Lamar was an anti immigrant. Well there are other folks who can help us. Let us try to get them.

Hope that other folks in this forum take the lead to contact their representatives to push for some action at TSC.
 
Visited the Austin office and gave the petition.

Being the bone headed. I printed out the petition (with 15 pages of signatures as a sample), went over to the Austin office of Lamar Smith and handed it over to Shiela Brown requesting her to see if they can help out in contacting TSC and give us a reply as to when TSC would start allocating resources to clear our the backlogs. I also mentioned that I will pass on the message to the several thousand folks in the forum about what the congressman’s office has got to say on this. She acted friendly and mentioned that she would contact their liaison and call me about it. Hoping that such constant haggling triggers something somewhere.

Am planning to do the same at John Cornyn’s Austin office next week. Mention about immigrationportal and the thousands of folks who are waiting to hear about backlog reduction and will request them to get a response from TSC and also them to take this problem upto the USCIS director to get a reply.

It's great your having visited Congressman's district office.
You may refer our activities in California to Congressional office in Texas.
We have covered CA 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 40th districts for town hall meetings or district office visit, maybe more.
