My RD is Aug 17. Per IIO my case is not with an officer yet. Is there anyone in the same boat?
The lawyer says we should wait a couple of months. I am thinking whether I should contact our Senator?
Per IIO my case should take about 6 to 8 weeks. I don't think I can wait that long, since I have already waited for over three years... Thinking of taking a long vacation and going to India to relax...
Any advise folks???

Reason

Did that IIO tell you any reaon for your case not being assigned to an officer, like they did'nt like the colour of your file, or your name, or the IIO had a bad date the last weekend.

What on earth would explain this freakin inconsistency. Please ask him next time, if you call, it's worth taking a chance.

wonder

if is possible to ask these stupid people in ins somehow named "officers" to change our file from:
INS-RD = Our-ND to INS-RD = Our-RD

RD/ND confusion

msn001-
Per IIO my RD is Oct 18th, which is really my ND. And I did bring it up saying that my RD is Aug 17. She still insisted that they are processing 09/01 cases and my case will be picked up in next 6/8 weeks.
When I asked why other cases are being picked up bu RD and mine by ND she said that I should only be concerned with my case, and it should not take very long.

Relax buddy ...

Dude, Relax and take it easy. You will get your approval sooner than later.

And btw I had planned to go fishing after my GC came. Well, I have the GC but haven't been able to fishing so far :p . And the blonde colleague of mine gets to go to hawaii :(

Oh and I heard sometime last week that INS was hiring Immigration Officers - hmm, now wouldn't that be a good job?:D  :)

ND/RD Confusion

not again .

BTW ashes you have to wait to be a citizen to become an IIO, only then you qualify for that extraordinary job :)

how interesting ...

ms001, I think my brains are increasing over time and I guess by the time I "qualify" for citizenship it would peak to a level where I can be qualified enough to become an IIO!

Can someone who got Sept. approval already answer this question:
Let's say on your I-485 receipt you see RD=09/10/01 and ND=11/14/01
What was AVM saying just after I-485 was received in INS:
1. "Your application was received on 09/10"
2. "Your application was received on 11/14"

AVM says ND on my case

Well I am not a Sept. 2001 filer. On my case the AVM says "your file was received on 4/10/02 ......". Well maybe it doesn't matter to me much cause there isn't much gap between my RD and ND.

One thing I don't understand is how come the gap between RD and ND can be as litter as four days and as long as two months as I observed on the board. Can anyone answer this question. No meaing just for my own curiousity.

xdai:

2 months gap around Sept. 2001 was because 9/11/2001 attack. Later if came back "on track".
I just wonder was AVM was saying for someone how got approval???
