Too Many Questions For Visitor Visa

WEST MINISTER

Yesterday my mother-in-law took interview at chennai consulate and got visa (waitting for pp)
after cancelling english interview for 2 times, finally she got appointment yesterday in native lang.
currently i'm in i-485, so did sent 1KG supporting documents for her visa.
for interview preparation, I sent 100 questions with answers, and i called my mom-in-law and talked 5 hours explaining each and evry document that i sent. thanks to 9278.com charminar card. My in-laws attached their documents too.

At The Consulate, The traslator was not good at all and my Mother-In-Law Observed This And Started Answering In English.
The Officer Wondered This And Started Asking Typical Questions. Asked nearly 50 questions. My goodness the questions from my QA list only. My mother-in-law did answered all questions keeping in my mind that no one is here to help her daughter's delivery. and finally got her visa. it's a 7 months preparation and a team work of the entire family.
We got their call almost 3 hours of interview time, by the time we realized that there is no alternative except getting visa. such a big relief and gave me a strong confidence on my documents.
I am happy to share the QA list that may be usefull to our forum members.

Westminister

Thanks for your detail post.

Can you please post what docs you sent to them?

Can you please post the questions?

My in-laws are going in another 20 days to chennai consulate.

Westminister,

You are lucky. I tried to get visitor visa for my mom (5 times). All 5 times those Chennai idiots rejected her visa saying that she will come and settle here. I lost my hopes.

If you could share the document list and QAs that will help lot of us.

Thanks,
Lahari

I have the pretty much same

experience at Delhi consulate my my in-laws.

they took hindi speaking interviewer and that lady asked all possible questions ,even read the supporting doc and questioned them and that was the case when my Fater in laws is a government employee and has NOC and every thing , property doc etc..

finally she gave the visa with the comment , don't stay there too long , keep coming and going back...

we haven't received the passport yet.. but hopefully it is approved other they give you the passport immediately with reject stamp, right?

our experience...with missing DOCS..

My mother-in-law went to the chennai for a visitor visa on OCT 27
She can't speak english, but we did not mention that while taking the appointment.. In chennai, at the consulate if you can't speak english...they ask to wait till 2.00 and then call you for interview along with the translator...

The embassy staff wanted a copy wife's passport..which she didnt have..She was told to send back the docs along with copy of my wifes passport...Dropped of the papers at HYD drop-box and got the stamped passport yesterday..

During the interview they retained the draft for application fee and asked us to mail the visa fee along with the docs....

Hope this is helpful to someone.....

11. Proof of Stocks (if any)
12. The letter explaining why she is attending the interview and my father used drop box. (reason - she is not qualified to use drop box - under 60)
