To winners who met consulate officer.

Hello

please any person who met the consulate tell us if the consulate asks DV winner to present "more than one evidence" to meet public charge in US,

I mean; if you present Affidavit of support I-134, did the consulate ask you about employment letter, or own Funds?

please if you presented your own funds to consulate in interview, how much should person have?

Did you take money from family, relatives, friends, to help you? if you did that

did the consulate asks you from where you got the money? :rolleyes:
 
The consulate may request proof where the funding came from since bank loans don't count. You can have money from family members, but you might have to show it wasn't put in your account days or a week before your appointment. It is all to who the employee is and what he wants to see....

An affidavit of support might be enough and nobody knows if they check it or not, they probably will....

go to the poverty guidelines website and check the State you want to move to and how many applicants you have for the GC...it will show how much funding you need to have...
