To transfer or Not to transfer?

Gurus, I need your advice-
I am hoping to transfer to a different state within the same company keeping the same position. My I-140 is approved, I-485 is pending (retrogressed). What needs to be done with CIS? I guess change of address form, maybe letter from employer verifying it's still the same job? Anything else? It's not the case for AC21, is it?

Any advice is appreciated! I don't want to jeopardize my visa chances.

I guess change of address form,
---------Form AR11
maybe letter from employer verifying it's still the same job?
-----not needed
Anything else?
---are you on H1 or EAD, if on H1 then employer needs new LCA for that location
It's not the case for AC21, is it?
---- I dont think it is AC21 case you are with same employer

Any advice is appreciated! I don't want to jeopardize my visa chances.

I am on EAD at this point. Outside of change of address form, don't I need to provide some kind of information to CIS about the fact that it is still the same position? My file will have to be transferred to a different service center. Thanks!

----------- you have to just mail form AR11
don't I need to provide some kind of information to CIS about the fact that it is still the same position?
----------- why to inform if employer is same and position is same?
My file will have to be transferred to a different service center.
--------- if you change job location it does not mean that your I-485 will be transfred to other location, it will remain with same service center it is up to USCIS to transfer and you dont need to request to USCIS to transfer your I-485. FYI the AR11 does not change your address on pending petitions with USCIS. if you need address changed on pending petitions with USCIS then write to USCIS and also call up 1800....
Thanks!

thank you, ginnu! Last question, if AR11 will not change address of my petition, what address does it change? Should I be filling it out to show change of address for my work? thanks again!

----------- form AR 11 does not go to USCIS service center. it does not change you address on any petitions it is just to track nonimmigratnts and GC holders. it is security related info so that US gove knows where you are staying and can find you if they need you.
Should I be filling it out to show change of address for my work?
---------- you have to file AR11 with your NEW home Address and have to list your past address.
thanks again!
