To Jim Mills and other experts

The following discussion (link mentioned above) is a request from a person from Kurdistan who has three wife\'s and 6 children and has I-140 approved

Do you think that there is any provision in the law allowing such cases

No, but I think there is a provision for DENYING this application

Part 2, Question 14, of the I-485 asks "Do you intend to practice Polygamy in the United States?" It seems to me that trying to bring multiple wives with you would clearly necessitate a "yes" answer to this question. Polygamy is illegal here and religious followings do not matter, just ask a Mormon.

He can get around this very easily

He first needs to obtain a divorce from 2 of his 3 wives and obtain custody of the kids, and then file 485. after the 485 is approved, he divorces wife #1 and marries #2 and sponsors her for PR, and does the same for #3 as well.

hi,

Haaaaaaaaa you took the words right from my mouth.

Well stated.........

Gee, I\'m sure INS wouldn\'t catch that and deport his butt for immigration fraud,

That\'s a good idea, if he doesn\'t mind taking the risk of deportation.

Deported from USA

Dear Sir/Madam:

I would like to know if I am eligible for immigration to America. I came
to America in 1989 on student visa and applied for asylum in 1991. In
October 2001 I received letter from appeal board of immigration stating that my
application has been denied for 1) suspensation of deportation 2)
application for assylum and 3) Voluntary departure.

On November 23 I married to a US citizen not for green card it was love
marriage and I can prove that it was not for citizenship purpose. On
november 23,2001 I left USA and moved to canada. But I never received
any letter from immigration saying about my deportation proceeding. My lawer
explained me that your appeal has been denied and you are under
deportation proceeding. Either you can leave the country on your own
expense or state\'s expenses. I decided to leave the country my own.

Now I am wondering, if I could apply for I-212 form and immigrate back
to America? Would you please let me know about the bar as well on my
immigration back to America. I was told that INS has placed five years
bar on you because I denied volunteer departure plus they put additional
five year bar because I lost me asylum case. This is called over stay.

I was wondering, if you could help me about my chances back to America?

Thank You
Waseem ahmed
