Hello everyone
I need the gurus to provide input on my case. I got GC in July 2004. By Aug 2007, I had completed 33 months. Then I went out of US and returned in Dec 2007. From Dec 2007 till June 2008 I was in US and (thus completing 39 months). I am once again until Nov 2008.
Now if I travel to US for 2 months from Nov 2008 - Jan 2009. Then out of US again until Mar 2009 and then return for 6 months, will that satisfy all the citizenship requirements.
Teh way I understand is
a) I would have spent 42 months in US by Apr 2009 so I satisfy the 30 month requrement in the last 5 years
b) I would not have travelled outside US for more than 6 months so that satisfies the continuous residency requirement

My main fear right now is a) I am on disability (no employment) and b) frequent trips outside US (I cannot stay in US because unable to maintain myself alone due to disability)

Will appreciate comments. Thanks

By April 2009 you'll have accumulated the required physical presence and not broken your continuous presence requirement and will be eligible to apply.
Just be prepared to show US residency ties at the interview in the form of tax receipts and rental/mortgage agreement in case the IO asks.
Are you getting medical treatment outside the US for your disability?
