I was wandering if anyone could help.
I have filed my 485 and done my FP I did not file for my wife because she does not have a A#. I was told to fill a 485 for my wife because she follows on all my paper work. Is this correct.
Another question I have is what papers must I fill out and what do I do for the imployment papers as she is not working.
BY THE WAY SHE HAS AN L2 VISA.
Please all the info will help as I will be filing the 485 myself because I can not afford an attorney right now.PLEASE ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT.
THANKS.

Don\'t wander around...

You can file it yourself. File for Employment Authorization document also along with 485. See the INS site and find the forms requried to be sent along with 485 .
All forms are available for download in:
http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/index.htm

G325A is the biographic info form
I485 is the basic form
I693 is the medicals form

You can also apply for the following documents along with I485
I131 - Travel - advance parole- travel document to be used (if you do not have valid h1) while on Adjustment of status.
I765 - Employment Authorization Document- like a temporary green card. If you decide to change employer this is required as proof of status for employment as permanent resident (until the actual green card)

For ADIT style photos
see http://www.immihelp.com/gc/photo.html

Moreover, L2s are now eligible to get EAD. See latest bullettin in murthy.com . If you do not file your wife\'s papers you are putting her visa status, in jeopardy.
Hope these help. Good Luck

File your wife\'s I-485 without A# now, later INS receipt will show an assigned A#. That\'s what I
