to all of you who received your Welcome Letter and GC!!!

ok now it is official. got my "not so" Green Card in the mail today.

it is awesome to finally have it in your hands and oh my it is quiet the technological advanced card.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know what personal info is embedded in that shiny silver strip on the back? if anything at all?

now i just need a job...and then i am truly completely happy.

Good luck to everyone else...

Well, at least you all don't seem to have the delays I'm having.
Yes, the green cards come from Missouri.

All I got after my interview and approval, after 2 months delay because the IO didn't complete a computer step, was that my I-485 and I-130 were transferred from the DO to MSC for further processing. I guess that means that the green card will be mailed soon. At least that's what my attorney thinks.

The silver strip in the back of your card contains bank account and credit card info. hahahahaha :p

Congradulations! I am counting down the days of my card's arrival. ;)

amg expect your card on the 14th or 15th....mine took exactly 1 week from the lud about my card being ordered and i've looked at a few other members on here and that seems to be the norm. your journey is nearing an end....i am happy for you....

i wish you all the best...i know how frustrating waiting is...even though my case went very fast. are you at least able to work?

good luck

cpost,
No worries, I've found those people who work in USCIS are probably the dumbest and slowest workers on earth. It took them 300 days to approve my case from last April, so don't feel bad, I'm sure yours will be in your mailbox very soon.

Velli,
Thanks for your comment, by my calculation, it should arrive between 14th-16th as you said. I heard next Monday is some president's birthday, don't know if it's going to slow it down for one day.

AMG,
Our dates for the PR card are very close, the anticipation of the actual card is almost as bad as the interview ;). Feels like running a marathon and you know the finish is around the bend but you can't see it yet. Please let us know when you have it in hand.
Thanks!!!

Update:
Received email on 8th Feb 2007 that the card production has been ordered, I should receive the card in 30 days...

NP Max, I'll keep you posted. ;)

txgirl,
I've received my email update on my case on Feb 8th which card production order was placed on the 7th. I will let you know if I've received the card 7 days from email date, or 7 days from production date, so you know when you should expect your card to arrive in your mailbox.

AMG - Received a copy of the Welcome letter last night. I would think the GC is on its way???!!!

Good Luck!

I will give it time until next week, also considering USPS is closed on 19th, for presidents days. :)

Good Luck!
