To all from India with U.S. citizen kids:

Hi Guys,

This may not be the right forum to ask this question, but did not know where else to ask (its urgent). Sorry in advance.

I am planning to apply for the PIO card [Person Of Indian Origin card] for my son at Indian Consulate, New York BY MAIL. How long does it take to receive the PIO card back? Has anyone done this before?

Wait for dual citizenship guidelines. For now apply for visitor visas -5yr/10yr. PIO is waste of money.

It took me exactly a week. If you use the express mail, it might take even less.
