Just heard from AVM that my I-140 got approved. so i approached the lawyer to send me the papers for 485 so that i can get started on my paperworks while my Approval notice is on the way. I wanted to save some time by doing that. But the Lawyer\'s sec who replied back to me told me that I have to wait until they get their approval notice from INS. And only then they will send the papers.

1) Is that how it works?

2) Is there anything i can do in the mean time. I mean some ground work for 485?

All suggestions welcome....

Go to http://www.Immihelp.com/forms.html website and download fillable forms, prepare the forms and take a printout and keep ready. Mean while look for local INS doctor and get it done all the required tests ASAP and keep ready the seald cover with i-693 inside. All INS doctors have this forms, even you don\'t need to carry the form to the doctor. Do not waste any of your time in filing I-485. You may find the local INS doctors list at http://www.immigration.com/dr/

Try to get an appointment with the doctor for a medical check up. You may get your approval notice with in 7 days.
