TN's and Passport Expiry Dates

I just received my third TN as a Management Consultant at the Peace Bridge this past Wednesday. Once again the process was very professional. The only thing was that as my Passport expired 5 months before the 3 years of the TN they gave me a TN that was good until my passport expired.

Just wanted to share this as I had read some posts with regards to this exact situation.
 
Yes, unfortunately the CBP officers -- AS THEY DO DURING ANY ECONOMIC BAD TIME -- are making things difficult for Tners.

There is absolutely no basis in not granting you the full 3-year TN term based on passport expiry -- or even passport existence!
