TN Visa vs. Georgia seperation notice

Hello

My friend's wife is a Canadian working in US with TN Visa and her employment ended (laid off) while vacationing India. Her husband is in H1B (Canadian Citizen). Her employer told her that she can return with TN status and then change it to H4 (dependent visa with her husband's H1B). However, they sent a separation notice to Georgia depart of labor. Will this impact when return with TN status? Will immigration validates Georgia department of labor? Any help is greatly appreciated.
 
She cannot enter into TN status if she is not entering to work in a TN job. However, she can enter into H4 status at any US port of entry by providing her husband's H1b I-94 and their marriage certificate.
 
The "separation notice" changes nothing. She is no longer in a TN relationship, so ca no longer use that TN to enter; this would be fraudulent. As newacct said, she can easily enter on H4.
