I am going to return back to Canada in early July. My wife is currently in H1B status living with me in US. She has submitted Canadian permanent residence application, and was recently informed that her application is in process, and interview is waived. We are hoping she will receive her status so we can move back to Canada together in July.
However, we have to go back to Canada together in the middle of June for one week to arrange some business, my wife is planning to apply for a tourist visa to Canada for this trip, will her permanent resident application prevents her getting her tourist visa ? How should she handle this ?
