I was rejected TN visa Today at Lewiston Queenston bridge , finger prints, photo taken and returned back to Canada .
I went there to get my TN visa reissued as my exiting TN visa expired. to my surprise I was told by CBP officer that for TN as per NAFTA only Degree from Canadian / USA university are accepted. but I couldn't find any such thing on the website.. I have Degree from India

I was having my TN visa earlier and I didn't had such an issue previously .. Please guide what should I do , shall I go back to US border

Degree evaluation was there with the set of documents that I submit... I was surprised when officer said as per NAFTA only Degrees from Canada and USA are considered. which looked strange. on CBP website it talks about Degree from any country. and he put a note on rejection letter as " Must be a bachelors degree or Post secondary Diploma from a Canadian / US institution, Degree and experience can not be combined"

Degrees are accepted from around the world.

What is not accepted is post-secondary diplomas (not degrees) from non-NAFTA countries which are used in combination with experience, for those who do not have a degree.

What category were you attempting, and on what were you basing your qualification for that category?

Computer system analyst.. I have bachelors degree in Science with 27 years of IT experience... I am currently working as solution architect role in US...

Does my work experience doesn’t count for my eligibility or 4 years bachelor is must to have for computer system analyst.

I am looking for some feedback from education eligibility for TN1 Visa as Canadian Citizen. NAFTA Category - Computer Systems Analyst

I have Foreign (Indian) Degrees
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (3 years)
Master of Science in Information Technology (2 years)

This was a straight 5-year program with 2 levels of degrees

Per WES evaluation when I do the overall Bachelors & Masters evaluation I will get a US/Canada Bachelor degree (4 years) equivalency

I read through some visa forums that the University of Toronto CES may give my bachelor's degree alone in Information Technology (3 years) as a US/Canada Bachelor degree (4 years) equivalency, but it is not certain that alone bachelor's degree (3 Years) will be equivalent US Bachelors. However, I will do Bachelors's degree separate evaluation.

My question is my Bachelors & Masters overall evaluation is sufficient to prove my education? I heard that combining two-degree for equivalency is not allowed. Is this true?

I will focus on ashmoza, since this is there thread. Hmodi, try your own thread.

No, experience doesn't count unless you have a N American 2-year diploma, and the TN category allows it.

Making up time for missing educational years is only for H1-B, not TN.
