TN visa lowered salary

My employer lowered my salary from 65k to 50k because of budget cuts during the pandemic. I last renewed my TN visa on August 3rd, 2018 and haven't traveled out of country even once since then.

Now my employer is offering me a reduced salary starting on August 2nd, 2021 -- when I will be up for renewal. They basically said "this is what we can pay you and still be profitable."

I work as a computer systems analyst.

Will I be asked to show pay-stubs etc?

Unlike H1-B, there are no legal commitments made by the sponsor to your work conditions including pay. The salary you mention (and should be mentioned in the TN letter) will not raise any concerns at the border.

As long as the salary is not outrageously low, you should be fine (which seems to be fine based on your numbers).

Now if you are saying that you will make $15000/year as a CSA, then there will be issues. Of course, that's not your case.
