Hi all,

I am a Canadian Citizen with a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering in Canada and will be completing a Masters of Engineering in Operations Research & Information Engineering(Basically half of an applied math and half of a software engineer degree). I was wondering if I am targeting jobs such software engineering, machine learning, data engineering etc etc, I would qualify under TN as a job title 'engineer'.

Thanks

Also does it matter if my bachelors says bachelors of science in mechanical engineering?

Some Canadian institutions use BAsc or BEng. Its practically the same thing but I am not sure the border security cares as much. However I am mostly planning use my masters in engineering to prove my qualification.

Subject doesn't matter at all according to the NAFTA regulations however some people have had issues getting TNs with Computer Science degrees (engineering category).

You should be fine considering engineering engineering role, engineering degree engineering category.
