Hello everyone,

It is our first time we file the forms I-129/I-539, we have two TN visas glued to our sheets passports, because always we presented to the consulate in our hometown. My doubt is, if we are going to send the information by courier...

What should I send?.....Our original passports (then, they can glued the extension of stay, if that's the case) or I just send the copy of our passports. But then, what it is what they are going to send me to prove that we have an extension?

The user Nelsona, told me that never send original, that sounds logic. I spent all day reading the forms and does not say anything, but I have the doubt. If someone can help me I really I appreciate it.

Thank you!

There is a difference between a consular visa and an I-94. USCIS does not process visas, so there is no need for you to send anything related to visas. You send a copy of your I-94, since this shows that you are in legal status, and thus allowed to file an extension of that status. A copy of the picture page of your passports is sufficient for any other purposes.

As I said earlier, you will get a new I-94 with your approval. The visas will still need to be renewed at some later date, when you travel.
