Much thanks to the organizers and contributors of this forum.
I am a Canadian Engineer with Beng Mechanical working under my TN for the past 33 Months. My current TN expires in 3 months.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate some help:
1) If I apply at the POE, and there is an issue/ denial - does I-129 renewal still remain an option?
2) Would my TN letter state that my employment will resume upon entry and continue for 3 years or will it say commence from a ceratin date (I am confused how this should be worded, my original TN letter had a specific start date - I am aware that this will be treated as a new TN and not an extension, so should the letter state state hypothetically May 2, if I am applying May 1 for my TN at border)?
3) I called NAFTA officer at 2 borders and they confirmed that I can get my TN at the POE now (3 months to expiry of my current) - however a few on this form have stated 2 weeks or so - can you please confirm, I have not found any info on this online however I am aware that I-129 can be done 6 months in advance
