My husband has a TN visa and the company has decided to sponsor him to obtain the permanent residence, but the lawer mention something about the dual intent. I understand that while the TN is temporaty on the other hand we are looking for a permanent stay.
My doubts are... 1) From a TN/TD can you pass to a permanent residence?
2) Having the dual intent, is it something wrong and later on can hurt us?
