TN Visa Change of Employer. When to go to the border

Hello Nelsona, and immigration community .
I am once again changing jobs from company A to company B.
Thankfully in the same city.
I am currently working with company A and I would like to give two weeks notice .
My new position starts April 30,2018
I would like to go to the POE Sunday -April 15,2018
The immigration team at company B states no more than 10 days before the start date and states two weeks is too early and I will get denied
Wanted to find out from you if anyone has done two weeks before the start date and been successful?
Otherwise I will have to go to POE April 22, 2018 and I will only give company A one week .
In addition I do not want to give up my job at company a until I have a second TN for company B.
And I am allowed to hold both TN at the same time correct.

I did look at other forums, could you please just tell me if you think 2 weeks is okay or is that too early

Last year I was refused when I applied 2 weeks in advance.

There was no prejudice, I went back to the same POE 2 days before and got approved with the same application.

Depends on the agents you meet, I guess.
